I have used Bubba's for a few years now and have nothing but great things to say about everyone that works there. They have made major repairs on my tank and have been excellent to work with. I especially like that my tank has a sending unit that notifies them when it is low and they automatically come out and fill it. No more checking the tank or finding out that it is empty the hard way. Great company and great people.read more

We ran out of propane unexpectedly on a Friday evening and got in touch with Jesse from Bubba’s around 6pm. We weren’t currently customers and yet Jesse turned around and drove back to the shop and then drove another hour and a half to get to our home so we didn’t have to go all weekend without hot water and propane. That’s A++++++++ customer service!!! We are so grateful for Jesse going above and beyond and are going to be permanent customers from here on out. We now have a monitor to alert if we ever get low again. Highly recommend!read more

Their technicians (specifically Jesse & Brandon) are so professional, friendly and respectful. This is quite an amazing company! I am a small independent contractor who unfortunately smashed the lid of a customers plastic valve housing I was working for. I called up Bubba and talked to his lovely staff and was fortunate enough to receive personal text from Bubba himself. I told him what had happened and he rushed to get the lid replaced at no charge! I called Bubba’s because our propane tank had gone completely out. Jesse came same day about an hour after I called. He refilled it, checked for leaks, repaired a pipe(don't remember what he called it) and came inside and waited until our burners came back on(since it had air in the pipe). I do not normally write reviews, but this company is an exception. Bubba’s took over my propane account at the beginning of this year- I work in residential construction, and I heard about Bubba’s through word-of-mouth recommendation. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They were helpful with correcting an issue caused by a previous company’s tank install, and they have been Johnny-on-the-Spot with solving problems in a pinch. Their lifetime warranty on tank settlement is enough to give them my business, but I must say that their “go above and beyond” approach makes this company stand out. Their office manager, Tammy, is a pleasure to work with, and I see myself continuing our business relationship in the years to come. I called Tammy at Bubba's Got Gas this morning for help. Like so many others, my family has been without power and heat due to last weeks freak winter storm in Texas. Tammy was very understanding of the circumstances and went to great length to get our propane filled and warm our young children up. Bubba's showed up within hours on the same day as called and our house is warming as we speak. The gentleman who deliver the propane was a breath of fresh air and went out of his way to ensure everything was lit and as it should be. Additionally, he showed me the ins and outs of our new home so I could be better understanding of the inner workings of our home. This is big deal seeing as how we rely on propane to cook, heat our home, and our water. Customer service is a lost and forgotten art in the current times we're living in and its so nice when you get a glance back in time when PEOPLE answered the phones, cared, and treated you like you were family. I have been a happy customer of Bubba's Got Gas for nearly 20 years and we have never run out of propane. (I'm on the "top off" schedule.) But I am writing this review today, as we start to see thawing temperatures after this historic freeze. Today, I am even more grateful to have a propane fueled fireplace, stove and water heater. (and furnace in the shot spurts of having electrical power). The fireplace has provided warmth and light on these cold dark nights., and I've been able to cook on the stove throughout the winter storm. And I am still at 40% fuel in the tank. Tammy, Jesse, Amanda - they are all amazing. Not only are they super friendly, but they will take care of you in the middle of a century storm. I did NOT expect to get gas delivery at 3AM! If you see a 'better price' per gallon, that maybe true. Do the math if those pennies are worth being stuck without gas for a few weeks, because that's how long some of the other guys will take. Try to call them on the weekend. (the one starting with Amer... and ending with their product is particularly terrible).read more

So I have had a competitor providing propane for the past 9 years and am on their "Keep Check Program" to prevent me from running out of gas. Unfortunately, for the past 9 years, I have run out during the winter - EVERY SINGLE YEAR! Today, I had enough and called Bubba's Got Gas! This company really cares about their customers and it shows in their level of service. We recently has a house built and had Bubba install our propane. Today, Veteran’s Day Sunday, we went to turn on our heat for the first time. No heat. Turns out the furnace’s manual switch had never been switched to “on.” Also, the furnace model we have needs the pressure of the propane to be at least 12 to function optimally. it was at 10.2. Our AC technician turned the switch on, but could not turn on the heater until the gas was fixed. All the technicians for Bubbas were already out on jobs today, so Bubba himself came out to change the pressure. Even though he says he no longer works in the field. He was awesome. In addition to fixing the pressure, he also checked everything else about our propane system. So on a holiday Sunday, when he didnt have to, Bubba came to our house to help us out. You don’t find that level of customer service in the world anymore.read more

Bubba's Lone Star Propane installed my propane system nearly 16 years ago when my house was under construction & has been my propane provider without interruption since. Two evenings ago I finally met Bubba for the first time. My plumber had just installed a new water heater but could not get the propane to flow to the heater to ignite the pilot. It was after 6 p.m. when I called Lone Star for help, expecting to be routed to their Voicemail; however, Bubba himself answered the phone! When he & the plumber couldn't solve the problem over the phone, he could simply (& reasonably) have offered to send a tech out the next morning. Instead, Bubba drove to my house & spent well over an hour working with the plumber until the problem was solved. It was 8 p.m.! Just before getting onto his truck to leave, Bubba remarked, "This is the part of my job I like best!" I give this man 10 stars!read more

We are building a new house in the Austin TX area and needed to install a propane tank for all the (9) gas appliances. I had noticed the "BubbasGotGas" trucks in the area and just had to call. Bubba came out immediately, surveyed the lot landscape and discussed the pros and cons of the various options (e.g., location, above/below ground tradeoffs, tank size, etc.). It was exactly the information needed and we quickly found the "sweet spot" for our new home, which was to put an underground 1000 gallon tank at an inconspicuous spot on the side of the house. The 1000 gallon tank was only slightly more expensive than a 500 gallon tank (all other charges identical) and comes with a number of advantages (e.g., larger tank will easily get us through a full year, allows us to better price shop the propane, etc.). Bubba is equipped to do a full turnkey job including excavation, tank installation, underground plumbing to the house, and checkout of all in-home appliances. When I mentioned to Bubba we were putting in a septic system and needed to coordinate the precise locations of all tanks and pipes he said we could likely save a considerable amount of money by having the septic installer dig the hole for the propane tank and also supply the sandy loam. Needless to say we pursued that with the septic installer and he was able to save us several hundred dollars! Once the hole was dug, Bubba promptly sent out a 2 man team that completed the job in less than a day. Once the installation was complete, the team lead (Donny) ) went through the house checking all gas appliances and actually uncovered a couple of issues, both of which he fixed on the spot (e.g., small leak in one of the appliance connections and 2 appliances that had to be converted from natural gas to propane). The absolute best service and people! You will not go wrong in having them do the work. When I moved to the area they came out and checked the tank. It isn't pretty but they said it was in perfect shape. Nice to have a business not want to change it out for dollars in their pocket when it wasn't necessary. This company has gone above and beyond for me. After Pinnacle Propane left my family for 2 weeks without propane, (I called Pinnacle daily but they could never make it out that day or the next or next or next etc) I called Bubba's in desperation for a fast installation. They came out the next day and relayed my pipes, gave me a new tank and filled me with propane. They would have been out the same day but somebody had a gas leak which is an emergency and completely understandable. I have now been with Bubba's for about 2 years and they always give same day service and will even come out on the weekend.read more

I had to find a propane refill service for work in a pinch and Bubba and Tammy jumped to it! No other company would be willing to refill the 100 pound cylinders onsite or deliver them - Bubba got out there the morning I called. For customer service alone - I will use Bubba for all of my propane needs in the future. Great people. Great company.read more

Bubba's Representatives are always very professional, and nice. They take time to answer any questions that arise. We have a gated property with animals, they are spot on with opening and closing the gate AFTER they asked permission to fill our tank while we are not home. They have always been on time. Payments: Paying over the phone, (my way of paying) is quick and easy, staff again, is ALWAYS friendly. Bubba's got gas has given us a great experience with their company.
